Pier 39 San Francisco

We passed under the Golden Gate Bridge shortly before 10 am, it was a cloudy day as we arrived in San Francisco. After navigating the bay we docked at Pier 35. San Francisco was always a bucket list item for both of us. When this cruise itinerary came up, we booked it and we were not disappointed.

As we got off the boat we headed to the tourist area Pier 39. It was about a 15 min walk to the pier, there was a fair crowd of people scrambling around, shopping , eating and enjoying the sites of Pier 39. We have all heard the stories about the Pier. This is just a few snippets of my time on the Pier.

We spent about an hour touring around Pier 39, to be totally honest the Sea Lions are the best attraction of Pier 39. I am not saying not to go there, but keep your time limited Fisherman’s Wharf is so much better . It’s only about another 20 min walk to Wharf.

I am glad we got to see Pier 39, it was a fun couple of hour. Watching the antics of Sea Lions made it a great afternoon at the Pier.
