Pork Schnitzel

Ingredients

  • -6 Bone in Pork Chops or Pork Loin 8-10 oz Each seasoned with salt and pepper.
  • -1 cup flour
  • -3 Eggs
  • -1/2 cup milk
  • -2 1/2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • -1 tsp salt
  • -1tsp pepper
  • -1 tsp Aromat or DanOs
  • -1 tsp chicken seasoning
  • -1 tsp garlic powder
  • -1/4 Cup clarified butter
  • -1/4 cup bacon fat
  • These are a couple of seasonings that I enjoy using and can be found at most specialty grocery stores or Amazon.

Prep

Turn on Oven to 350 degrees

Place Seasoned Pork chops in a large zip lock bag. Using a meat hammer slowly pound out the pork chops until they are about 1/4 inch thick.

Divide your dry spice seasoning between the flour and bread crumbs. Place them in individual bowls, You are building a breading station.

Mix eggs and milk together in a seperate bowl.

Egg wash

Seasoned Bread Crumbs

Dip pork schnitzel in seasoned flour, then in the egg wash mixture and finally in the bread crumb mixture. Make sure you press the breadcrumbs into the pork schnitzel.

Heat up a large frypan on med heat, place some bacon fat into the pan. Add the pork chops to the pan, add clarified butter to the top off the schnitzel, brown in the pan approx. 5 min on each side or until golden brown.

  • Don’t overload your pan
  • Beautiful golden brown

Once the schnitzel are browned place on a baking sheet pan with parchment paper and place in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.

This a great schnitzel recipe that is versatile that you can use it with Chicken or Veal . Served with SpƤtzle or Fried Potatoes , A Hunter Sauce with fresh and wild Mushrooms is the perfect accent this dish.
